Junior Match Reports Round 4

Under 12

If you meet a team with desire, you better be able to match that desire or you will lose.

It was a disappointing game by the U12s, who went in thinking they already had it won. The Canada Bay Cannons is a new club, with many boys who haven’t played AFL before. They had also lost their first two games by a combined total of over 200 points.

From the very first bounce, we lacked desire and intent. We were just going through the motions. And what the Cannons lacked in skill, they made up for in effort. And if you don’t match it, you will probably lose.

Hopefully this is a wake up call for the boys. You can’t take anything for granted, as it only takes  being off your best by a few percent to find yourself in trouble.

I’m sure the boys will respond the right way.
