Club stalwarts reach 50 game milestone

The milestones keep coming at the Cats, with another two stalwarts of the game reaching 50 games this week.

Patrick Byrne is another of our foundation players, having joined the club in 2013 and played in the first the U9 team. He has change considerably since then, becoming our tallest players on the list. This year in particular, he has taken his fitness to a new level and become a dangerous player between the arcs with his long reach, good marking and penetrating kicks.

As with Pat, Alex (or AJ) another 2013 U9 graduate. He is a quiet achiever, who has established himself as a premier defender. A great reader of the ball, he has stopped more goals than any single players has kicked in our team. He goes about his work with the minimum of fuss, but has taken on a much bigger role as part of the leadership group this year.

Congratulations boys! We hope to see many more games from you in the future.
