Auskick season just around the corner

There must be some excited little footy players in Lane Cove, with the Auskick season starting in just over two weeks.

Some of you may have already received notification, but this year Auskick packs are being sent directly to your registered address. Don’t worry if you haven’t received your pack before the season begins, just come in your own footy gear until you receive it.

As per last year, it will be broken up into three groups; Team Blue (Older kids, the Cats), Team Red (Swans) and then the little ones Team Orange (Giants). The drills and exercises officially start at 8:00am. However, we encourage parents to get down to the ground by 7:45am to warm up and have a kick with the children.

This year we have the added feature of a regular season Under 8 Auskick competition. This is perfect for the older Auskickers, as a way to transition into full junior competitive games. It will be played at the same time as the regular Auskick session, with games pitted against neighbouring clubs. Further details will be released closer to the start of the season (which is in late April).

After running the program for the past three years, Nick Brumley is handing over the reigns to Peter Beck. He has big shoes to fill, but is more than capable, having worked with Nick over the past year. He will be ably assisted by a wonderful team of Auskick coordinators.

It’s not too late to register.

Don’t miss out on your place in this great program. Registration costs only $170. Each player will receive an Auskick membership pack, jumper, shorts and socks. Jumper and shorts to be returned at the end of the season.

If you have registered but have’t paid, go to the registration page and click on the red “Update/Pay” button near the bottom of the page.
