Working With Children

A Working With Children Check is a requirement for people who work or volunteer in child-related work. It involves a national criminal history check and a review of findings of workplace misconduct.

The AFL requires all coaches and managers to do a working with children check. The process is set out on the WWCC website here.

You will need to provide a proof of indentity, such as a drivers licence.

When applying, please make sure you nominate the volunteer option – otherwise you will be charged a fee.

Once you’ve applied, please notify us of your WWC (or APP) number and the clearance email you receive as soon as possible. Please send these to Brian Gillard.

The Working With Children Check is fully portable so it can be used for any paid or unpaid child-related work in NSW for as long as you remain cleared.
